TPO Overview

The college has established a Training & Placement Cell since 2007 and this becomes a regular activity of the College to provide to the needs of Design Industries and end users by supplying trained & employable Professional Designers. In order to facilitate this activity a T&P officer is appointed for the smooth functioning of the cell. College has also formulated specific guidelines for TPO to boost the placement of professionals. The TPO makes consistent efforts to establish linkages with Industries & rapport with relevant training institutes. The TPO visits regularly to Industries to explore the requirement of employees and trainees.

The Training and Placement service operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and students. The Placement team is available to respond to student’s questions and concerns of all kinds. This may include counseling on Placement procedures, Preparation of Applications, Resumes, Portfolios & PPTs for interviews. The aim is to ensure that students should have the information and skills necessary for an effective job search and industry interaction, in concern to it the guidance also provided by the Placement Cell. The students are also equipped with Professional skills, Soft skills, language & Communication skills, Interview techniques, etc. In addition, College adopts all possible measures to train the students to become employable & job ready. The vision of the Placement Department is to empower the 'Design Institute - Industry interactions' and generate the maximum segments of placements in Industries.

Training Placement Officer

Ms.Pallavi Pandhare (M.F.A.) is an alumnus of Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. She has a total work experience of 11 years out of which she has spent 01 years in Industry and 10 years into Academics. Her contribution is in the field of Communication Design - Education, Advertising, etc. Her National Papers on Communication Design, Advertising & marketing Methods, Folk culture in communication design etc. have published in 'ISBN' Publications.

She has Design industry exposure in H.R. Management with special focus on Recruitments, Design Performance Management, Policies and Procedures. She has worked with several sectors of Design Industries and having excellent contacts. She is highly adaptable and sociable with strong interpersonal Skills.

Ms.Pallavi Pandhre guides students in the field of Communication Design / Industrial Relations with focus on factual industrial training and Skill Development.

Responsibility of TPO

• Lead the initiative in the Institute.
• Create a system to have ongoing communication between the Institute and the students to have relevant competency development programs.
• Manage and monitor overall activities associated with identifying, planning & building competencies of all the students across all disciplines.
• Conduct need based training program for students.
• Prepare students for challenges to be faced in the industry / corporate sector through proper and planned career guidance.
• Emphasis on Interview Skills and Communication Skills required for Industry.
• Create relevant Learning curriculum to supplement the Domain competencies.

Placement Policy

The placement policy will be applicable to all students registered for the Academic Year 2016-17 Campus Placements of DYPCAAC & is to be followed during the entire duration of the placement season.

Eligibility Criteria for B.F.A. - Applied Art Students

Student of DYPCAAC expected to secure his / her admission for 'Final Year Applied Art'. He / She needs to sign an 'Undertaking', which indemnify that student is applying for placement & will not apply for further education immediately after the Final Year result.

Students need to sign the 'Placement Registration Form' and submit the relevant documents, NOC/s as per the demand.

Students have expected to be ready with the Testimonials & Design Portfolio.

Students can register for placements only once.
